Please beware that for those of you watching your carbs, pre-shredded cheese is coated in corn starch (or other starch) to make it not stick to itself. It's not a bad thing to shred your own, which takes minimal work, and is soooo much less expensive anyway!

I know some keto/diabetic recipe breads don’t. Please continue to do more diabetic/keto recipes. My husband and I both need to continue losing weight to keep our diabetes under control! Since you're from Georgia you might want to try the keto candied spiced pecans made with that monk fruit / erythritol sweetener. Can even do them in the slow cooker! Sooooo good!

There's a lot of erythritol sweetener in that bag. Some people have problems with erythritol which is a sugar alcohol.

Your dad was raised like me. We were raised to survive, not much money back then. We had fields of food with it being a family of 9. No regrets here, my parents raised us right and I'm forever grateful for it even though it was hard work. We have several gardens now and canning as much as we can.

The last bread substitute recipe worked out perfectly. This one turned out to be a mushy disaster for me. It wouldn't even firm up after nearly 90 minutes of bake retries. I measured carefully and the only thing I can imagine that took it off track had to be the size of the egg I used. It was an extra large egg. For those who succeeded, what size of egg did you use? Thanks 🙂🌻

This was fabulous! Living in south Texas our Natchez Thornless Blackberries are wrapping up for the season, so berries are kind of small. Didn’t matter with this recipe! Oh, soooo good! Thanks much for sharing. 😀
